A hangover is a group of unpleasant signs and symptoms that can
occur after drinking too much alcohol. The severity of the
hangover depends on the amount of alcohol consumed, the amount
of water drunk, and the individual's metabolism. The most common
symptoms are headache, fatigue, dizziness, nausea, vomiting,
sensitivity to light and sound, and thirst. Other symptoms may
include anxiety, confusion, depression, sweating, and difficulty
sleeping. The severity of the hangover can be reduced by
drinking water, eating food, and taking medications such as
paracetamol or ibuprofen.
